The Element Energy Dispersive Spectroscopy (EDS) System delivers powerful analytical capability in a compact package, maximizing performance and flexibility, while providing streamlined operation to guarantee fast results and ease of use. The combination of an Element Silicon Drift Detector (SDD) with the user friendly APEX™ software provides a complete EDS microanalysis solution for all levels of analysis and high throughput industrial applications.
It is ideal for all the EDAX microanalysis users who want to upgrade their instrument with a limited budget.
The Element SDDs are designed with a silicon nitride (Si3N4) window to optimize low energy X-ray transmission for light element analysis. The detectors offer excellent resolution and their advanced low-noise electronics provide outstanding throughput performance. The small footprint of the Element SDDs offers flexibility to ensure ideal geometry and data collection conditions. The detectors contain a 30 mm2 chip and are available in 2 different models:

- Manual Slide

APEX™ software
The intuitive and user-friendly APEX™ software for EDAX EDS Systems has been developed to ensure high end results combined with ease of use.
